Princess Dalal, accompanying her father, HRH King Saud and President Kennedy - 1962
Princess Dalal has been interested in art since her childhood. while growing up, capturing images on paper became a daily routine for her. Her passion for art was strengthened by the paternal grandmother of Princess Dalal's childrens, Princess Mona Riadh Al-Solh. Princess Dalal's father is the King Saud bin Abdulaziz, the first king of Saudi Arabia to succeed the legendary King Abdulaziz. She is the niece of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God rest his soul in peace.
Basically, she is a 'desert princess' profoundly inspired by the mysterious Arabian desert. This connection to the Bedouin culture has enabled her artwork to reflect the history and traditions of her country.
Princess Dalal is one of the few Arab artists with extensive international experience and exposure to the art world in various countries. The most recent exhibition at the United Nations Office in Geneva is a manifestation of her interest in human rights and her commitment to human welfare.
